Program

Inspired by the functioning of the human brain, neural networks are the heart of artificial intelligence, which has revolutionized the visual field and the tools for creating images.

In this workshop we will explore how artificial intelligence can transform photography. This process provides a new perspective, fusing traditional vision with digital innovations to redefine image creation.

We will see how some contemporary visual artists have incorporated artificial intelligence in their works such as Mario Klingemann, Refik Anadol, Robbie Barrat, or Anna Ridler.

We will also get into some programs that allow you to create and modify images using artificial intelligence.

This workshop is focused on both people who want to get into artificial intelligence within the field of imaging and those artists who are looking for new perspectives and learning for their projects.

Isabel Bonafe (Seville). In her current practice, Isabel tries to relate the way we consume, perceive and live with virtual images and certain physical phenomena that question our common sense and our ordinary experience. Starting from elements common to both worlds, such as those related to electromagnetism and optics, light and vision, Isabel designs pieces that seem to blur the boundary between the physical and the virtual and that have their roots in problems related to memory, the presence and the ontological status of photographic media. In recent years his work has been exhibited at Staffordshirest gallery, London, HotSheet Photo Festival London, L'ETNO Museu Valencià d'Etnologia, Valencia, JD Malat Gallery, London, Fundación Valentín De Madariaga, Seville, Ovada Gallery, Oxford, Somerset House, London, Royal Academy of Arts, London, The Wrong Biennale, Lethaby Gallery, London, among others. Nominated for the 2019 Ivan Juritz European Prize and winner of the photography II Young Emerging Artists Creation Contest 2020 U. Cultura Loyola.
