ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

In this workshop the student will learn about all the possibilities and tools that Lightroom can provide to develop creative and personalized work in the necessary development of the raw file and enhance their images. We will describe the operation of the program in its most general and essential parts and then apply it to different examples. Introduce the student to an appropriate method of working with the necessary information so that they can subsequently grow and develop the maximum potential of the program.

Recommendations and uses of elements from downloading the cards to delivering images

• Lightroom:
- Program interface
- Lightroom catalog management
- Import images and how to download the cards

- Library module: Select and catalog photographs

- Module Revealed:
How to handle the panels and what they are for:

Histogram, Basics, Tone Curve, HSL Panel, Split Tone, Detail, Lens Corrections, Transform, Effects, Camera Calibration.
Tools: Crop & Straighten, Clone/Correct (Spot Removal), Red Eye Correction, Linear Filters , radial filters, adjustment brush (zone development).

- Presets:
How to create user presets and purchased external filters. Import/export them.
How to create user presets for the adjustment brush.
Other plugins.

- Development examples (Learn to see): We will apply all the elements learned in various development examples. Color dominants, retouching in areas, using gradient and radial filters to give an intention to our photographs or even correct light points, Introduction to “Dodge and Burn in lightroom”

- Export images:
Qualities and file formats according to their purpose.

Marta Vázquez. (Cádiz 1967) Graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Seville (1987-1992). She began as a graphic designer in several advertising agencies and graphic design studios, and completed her professional experience in one of the most prestigious photography studios specialized in fashion, Deinm Estudio. In this last company he began his specialization in image processing for photographers with the transition from analog to digital methods. He is currently self-employed in his advertising photography studio (coimagen) where he has been developing photographic work for multiple clients for 12 years (Bodegas Barbadillo, Spanish Institute of Perfumery, etc.). It continually carries out training courses, personalized or for groups, on image processing and specialized software for photographers and graphic designers. Among his current projects, he also develops frequent collaborations with contemporary artists such as Salustiano and others, training and helping in the editing of their digital projects.
